Shilpa to marry Raj Kundra this year

Father reveals couple’s wedding plans

Shilpa Shetty, who became a household name here after her win on the reality show "Celebrity Big Brother" in 2007, is set to marry businessman Raj Kundra this autumn, her father has revealed in an application to an Indian court.

Shilpa and her London-based Indian beau formed a successful business partnership following her appearance on the reality television show. Their business empire includes a $16.2 million (10 million pounds) stake in the Rajasthan Royals Twenty20 cricket team and as well as in Britain’s V8 Gourmet Group.

Shilpa's father Surendra Shetty revealed the couple's wedding plans in an application for his passport to be returned to allow him to attend the event. It was confiscated after he was charged with threatening a business associate he claimed owed money to his daughter, reported telegraph.co.uk.

Surendra Shetty is accused of sending gangsters to collect a debt from sari manufacturer Pankaj Agarwal after his firm Praful Sarees failed to pay Shilpa for a modelling assignment when her Bollywood career was at a low point. Since then, Surendra Shetty and his wife Sunanda have only been able to travel overseas with the court's permission.

In his application, Surendra Shetty told the court the wedding would take place between September and the end of December in Britain.

Salman and Ranbir lose grandmothers

Both passed away on Aug 25

Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor both lost their maternal grandmothers on Tuesday, August 25.

Neetu Kapoor’s mother, Rajee Singh, 71, had been staying with Rishi Kapoor and Neetu at their bungalow Krishna. She died of a cardiac arrest.

Rajee Singh was a familiar figure in Bollywood in the 1970s when Neetu was one of the top heroines. She would often be seen escorting her star daughter.

Ranbir’s girlfriend Deepika Padukone, who was scheduled to leave for Italy on Tuesday, cancelled her flight and spent the day with the mourning family.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s maternal grandmother too died the same day. She was 91 years old.

His mom Salma Khan was by her mother’s when she passed away. Salman apparently had visited his grandmother’s Mahim residence just a few hours before she died.

Rani Mukerji is all set to fire up the screen in her latest film “Dil Bole Hadippa”. For the first time in her career, the actress will even be seen in a bikini in this movie.

Rani and yoga expert Payal Gidwani have worked as a team to achieve the hot body that Rani would be flaunting in the movie.

Payal started off with Rani on April 16, 2008. At that time Rani weighed 56 kilos, which has now been brought down to 49-50 kilos.

Initially Rani had a heavy lower body. She could only do 5-10 Suryanamaskars and had very weak nerves. As a result, stretching would lead to cramps.

To increase her cardio vascular endurance, Payal had to incorporate simple cardio exercises like getting Rani to walk up and down the stairs of her bungalow.

Now Rani has not only lost the extra kilos but can easily do 100 Suryanamaskars or 2,000-2,500 Kapalbhati in a go and can also hold on to Asanas for 1 minute. Her breathing technique has also improved.

Finlay vs. Mike Knox vs. Dolph Ziggler Triple Threat Match

This match would determine a #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Title at Breaking Point PPV. All three men intensely battled in and out of the ring. During one segment, Finlay and Knox fought outside the ring. Ziggler tried the baseball slide dropkick with Finlay using the apron cover to catch him, then punched him. Knox came over and leveled Finlay, then rolled Ziggler into the ring. Finlay rushed in and tried a quick pin on Ziggler, with Knox breaking it up. Ziggler then dropkicked Knox outside so he could fight Finlay one on one inside the ring. The two wrestlers traded punches, with Finlay and Ziggler eventually fighting on the top rope. Knox was back in and put Finlay in an Electric Chair to take him down. Ziggler went for a leg drop off the top rope, but Finlay avoided it.

As the action continued later on, all three men were fighting in the ring. Ziggler hit a move on Knox as Finlay hit a rolling thunder on Ziggler. Finlay went after Knox with Zigler punching Finlay. Ziggler sent Finlay to the corner, but missed on his splash attempt. Finlay then went for a submission hold with Knox coming over to boot him in the face. Knox followed with a suplex on Ziggler, but Finlay went to the middle rope and then tackled Knox down for a 2 count pinfall. Knox rolled over and grabbed Finlay's shillaleigh, then swung at Finlay. Finlay ducked the move and kicked Knox then hit his Celtic Cross finisher for a pin. Ziggler rushed over and pulled Finlay off to toss him into the corner ring post, then took the winning pinfall on Mike Knox. Ziggler celebrated up on the ramp to end the show as the Smackdown commentators discussed Friday night's CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy cage match.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler wins via pinfall over Mike Knox to become #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Title.

Hurricane Helms vs. Paul Burchill

In this ECW feud, both superstars meant business in the ring. Paul Burchill was able to gain control in the match using a neckbreaker followed by a neck submission hold to wear down Helms. Hurricane got back to his feet, and Burchill tried to ram him head first to the turnbuckle. Helms fought back to stop him, using an offensive attack including a reverse DDT, followed by a two count. Hurricane tried to clothesline Burchill, but he ducked, then hit a Pele kick. Hurricane ducked Burchill's clothesline attempt, then hit a crossbody off the corner for a two count.

Burchill rolled to the outside of the ring to recover. Helms went to collect him and put him on the apron for a suplex move. Helms got back in the ring ready to do his Shining Wizard, but as he went for the suplex, Katie Lea held Burchill's leg from outside. Helms began to complain to the ref about it, and that allowed Burchill to hit a quick move on Helms, followed by the rollup pin.

Winner: Paul Burchill wins via pinfall over Hurricane Helms.

Primo vs. Jack Swagger

In the opening match, Raw's Primo battled the two-time All American American, Jack Swagger. In the early going, both men traded offensive attacks. At one point, Swagger tossed Primo over the top rope with Primo landing on his feet on the apron. Swagger quickly rammed into him with his shoulder sending Primo to the floor as Superstars went to a commercial.

After the break, Swagger was in control in the ring. He picked up Primo with Primo rolling off his back and trying a quick pin. Swagger escaped, pulled Primo to the corner and slingshotted him. Swagger went for his big splash in the corner with Primo getting out of the way. Primo gained control as he was able to get a crossbody from the corner, then a Russian Legsweep. After a two count from Primo, Swagger hit a surprise belly-to-belly suplex. Swagger tried his finisher but Primo blocked. The two went back and forth with punches until Swagger regained control.

Swagger sent Primo to the corner then charged at him, but Primo elbowed him. Primo went off the top rope at Swagger who ducked it. Primo landed on his feet, but Swagger was able to clothesline him from behind, then hit his Gutwrench Powerbomb to win it. After the win, Swagger got on the mic to let Kofi Kingston know he's the only superstar born to be US Champion. He told Kingston to forget everyone except him.

Winner: Jack Swagger wins via pinfall over Primo.

Dil Bole Hadippa' (Music Review)

Album is soaked in the sound of Punjab

Those who like Punjabi music are in for a treat with Yashraj Film' latest offering "Dil Bole Hadippa" that has Shahid Kapur and Rani Mukerji in lead roles. Composed by Pritam Chakraborty, the album has five pacy and foot-tapping numbers soaked in Punjabi flavour.

First is the title track "Hadippa" crooned by Mika Singh. It is currently on air and has proved to be a hit. Foot-tapping and energetic, it is a true dance number and one can say that Punjabi folk music is reinvented with the song.

The track also has a remixed version, which is equally enticing, especially with dhol as an instrument taking precedence.

Up next we have "Disco wale khisko" - high on beats, it is another hardcore Punjabi dance number with a little western flavour with the inclusion of guitar along with dhols and flutes. With power-packed vocals by Sunidhi Chauhan, KK and Rana Mazumder, it is sure to be a hit at the DJ consoles.

This too has a remixed version which adds more colour to the original.

Next is "Ishq hi rab hai" - a romantic number that changes the mood with its slow pace. Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal have sung it. Though it is different from the rest of the numbers in the album, it doesn't strike a chord with the listener.

With "Bangra bistar" the soundtrack returns to its fast-paced songs. This upbeat track is definitely worth a listen especially when sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, Alisha Chinoy and Hard Kaur.

Finally, there is another high octave track "Gym Shim" sung by music band Joshilay. If one can give the lyrics a miss, the beat is catchy and in some ways entertaining. There is some potential in the track that holds the interest till the end.

On the whole, Pritam has moved away from his signature style to create music for "Dil Bole Hadippa". The songs seem quite relevant to the feel of the film. Each song has the flavour of Punjab in it.

Big B and Sanjay Dutt to clash on screen

Aladin’ will have them fighting it out in the middle

In the current decade, Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt have worked together in half a dozen odd films. 'Shoot out at Lokhandwala', 'Eklavya - The Royal Guard', 'Deewar - Let's Bring Our Heroes Home', 'Viruddh' , 'Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin' and 'Kaante', which gave a different dimension to their on screen rivalry.

Now it's time for the two veteran actors, though separated by a generation, to be at loggerheads again in Eros International’s “Aladin”.

Agrees Sujoy, "Yes, Mr. Bachchan and Dutt saab are fighting it out again in 'Aladin'. It's a different energy altogether when actors like these are pitted against each other. This time around it is 'Genius - The Genie' (Big B) v/s 'Ringmaster' (Sanjay Dutt)."

If one goes down the memory lane, 'Kaante' had been ever so memorable for Sanjay Dutt's cold dialogue - 'Major, Tu Sirf Bhaukega Ya Kaatega Bhi [Major, are you only going to bark or even bite]?' that had created a frenzy of sorts.

No one had expected any actor, even though he was someone of the stature of Sanjay Dutt, to address a living legend like Amitabh Bachchan in such manner, even though it was for screen.

Moreover, Sanju baba has been known for respecting Big B since decades due to which this dialogue was even more shocking and had made headlines. Do we expect such headline grabbing antics in 'Aladin' as well?

"Well, when two actors like these are pitted opposite each other, there are bound to be fireworks. Now whether these would be through power packed dialogues or some intense scenes or symbolic gestures is something that would be for audiences to see once the film arrives this summer. However, I can assure that those looking for a man to man combat, whether physically or verbally, won't be disappointed," says Sujoy who is said to have created enough dramatic sequences featuring the two.

"I couldn't have wasted this opportunity for anything," he smiles, "Both of them have appeared in quite a few movies together but their characters have more often than not shared cordial relationship with each other. In 'Aladin' that's hardly the case. They are on different sides of the fence and have fought it out in the middle.”

WWE Championship - Triple H Vs The Great Khali at SummerSlam

WTF. That was the explicit acronym that I am sure popped into every wrestling fan's head after The Great Khali won the Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer Battle Royal to earn a WWE title shot at Summerslam next month.

Yes, it was Khali, not Umaga, Mr. Kennedy, Big Show, Montel Vontavious Porter, or the ever so popular, Jeff Hardy. The Great Khali's win and title shot may not be very popular with fans, but I can't blame them.

After all, Khali is not exactly the Dean Malenko of the squared circle. Triple vs. The Great Khali can make or break Smackdown's crowded main event/upper midcard right now.

On one hand, Triple H winning at Summerslam would be a nice win, but extremely predictable. The Game has not exactly been booked as a human being the last few months, but rather more like The Terminator with a lot more charisma.

A win over Triple H would reestablish Khali as an unstoppable monster that can, at times, be fun to watch. Not only that, but I do not think WWE should pull the trigger on another Jeff Hardy vs. Triple H just yet.

If Khali were to win the WWE title, he could have an intriguing David and Goliath/Big dog vs. Underdog feud with Jeff Hardy overcoming the odds at the end. Here's the catch: Triple H would help Jeff Hardy beat Khali.

That could set up a huge feud between the two, with The Game stating Hardy could never beat the real world champion (even though he did last year at Armageddon). Triple H could also state that he was robbed by Khali and Ranjin Singh. That could lead to a blow off match with Khali en route to the money match with the Charismatic Enigma.

I am not trying to say The Great Khali would be the best World Champion, but he would certainly be believable and make Triple H look human for the first time in awhile.

Furthermore, Khali would be a serviceable transitional champion to drop the belt to Jeff Hardy or even the underrated Big Show. That way Triple H's only major loss on Smackdown! would be from a behemoth with the help of his manager. This would allow him to retain his heat.

In the long run, a Khali title win could help Smackdown! more than hurt the brand. I love Triple H, but going through heels like toilet paper is not the only way he should be booked. He needs a serious threat and if booked correctly, The Great Khali could be just that.

The Great Khali may never be the great WWE Champion, but with size, strength, and a serious streak, he would certainly be the right guy to help transition the belt to Jeff Hardy or another superstar not named Triple H.
